How much should I tip my hair stylist?

I go to the same lady every time, and she is great with my hair. I'm just confused about how much should I tip her. I usually get a trim, sometimes I do highlights. Do I tip her based on what she's doing, or how long she spends on my hair? Is the tip based on how much my haircut costs? Please tell me what's appropriate! How much should I tip my hair stylist?
tip based on the results if ur happy no more than a fiver :) if u dont like it non or a quid x :)How much should I tip my hair stylist?
15%
If you go for a trim, 10 dollars. If you go for something like highlights or anything else, 15 dollars. That's what I tip, but I don't go that much, every few months. Sometimes I've give up to 20 bucks. But that was when my hair was long and she was once with me until almost closing time.

You could also do percentages. If you can't do it in your head, do the math on a cell phone (if you have one).
10 dallors
20% of the total.. plus an extra 5 bucks is usually what i do. i get highlights lowlights and a trim and it costs me 90. i give her 25 because i really love what she does with my hair. 20% would have been 18 plus another 5 would be 23. but 25 just makes it easier.
It depends on what she does, how she does it, how quickly she does it, how polite she is while doing it, how much it cost, and did it turn out exactly how you wanted it.

If I get just a trim and highlights, I tip 5 for a good job. and 8 if they did a great job and were pleasant. And that's on a price of about $35-$45 If they were rude or werent very pleasant I tip 3. If they do a bad job I tell them they need to fix it, and do not tip or pay for the fix.
I always tip $5 but you can also go $10. You only pay her depending on how much of a good job she did and how satisifed you were.
