What i need to do to become a successful hair stylist?

I am very interested in becoming a hair stylist when i grow up


This has been my dream since i was in elementary school but I'm afraid to pursue this dream because I fear that i would not become successful. What school should i go to, grades do i need, GPA, and so on is is that i need to do to become a SUCCESSFUL HAIR STYLIST?? Suggestions and help appreciated!!!!! I am really lost and do not know what to do.What i need to do to become a successful hair stylist?
the school depends on what you feel is right. i chose my school over others because of the level of professionality i felt there. grades and GPA prior to cosmetologist isn't important. but let me tell you it is such an endurance test. all you really need to know about being successful is to love what you do! do it for that reason only. if you start worrying about being successful in the means of money you won't do your best. this field is definitely a self motivated career. your success depends on how much you push yourself. i think you have the passion for it if you've wanted to do it for so long. you're really only not successful when you don't go for those things you want so badly. don't let the unknown of the field scare you from even trying.





go to a school where you are comfortable with progressing. you can't become complacent but when they scare you with how successful you have to be right off can be a bad thing too. i wanted to become a hairstylist my whole life as well. my mom is one. its so fun and amazing that i finally get to become one! go to school and get your license. you won't regret it and you'll be great!
