What High School courses do I need to take to become a hair stylist?

I'm a freshman or Year 9. So any ideas? What High School courses do I need to take to become a hair stylist?
Some schools offer to let you take cosmetology, but some don't really offer that. If you long to become a hairstylist then after highschool you should attend a well reputed beauty school and get a degree in cosmetology so you can become licensed in your state. If you really want to learn more in highschool, when you are a junior or senior then see if a local salon will let you sweep up or intern there. You can learn alot just by assisting and watching stylists. What High School courses do I need to take to become a hair stylist?
cosmotology school varies from state 2 state but u r from canada ay?????
Well you would want to take a business type of class so you know something about working w/ people and money. You could also go to a tech school and take a course on cosmetology. Then you really don't HAVE to go to college. Good luck with that!
The only course you can take is cosmetology. their are special schools for this. Nothing you take in high school will get you there. You have to go a certain number of hours depending on your area. California requires 1600 hours. then you will have to go to your state's board of cosmetology and take a test to pass and be allowed to do hair. You can prob look up your state's state board on the internet. They will tell you the requirement for your state. They might be able to refer you to a school in your area. You have to be at least 16 in most states to even take the course. In some states you will need to be a graduate of high school to take the test.

good luck to you though!!!!! it is a wondeful career...
if your school offer cosmetology, then you should take that class. it will be counted as an elective, not a regular course. it will count towards your diploma type.
Yeah .. Sophmore or junior year you need to take Cosmetology ......

Its normally offered as ';vocational school'; meaning you leave to take cosmetology and come back and complete the rest of your classes.
