What do you dislike the most about going to the hair stylist?

I'm a new stylist and I don't want to make any obvious mistakes. Please tell me all the rookie mistakes, so I won't make them. I'm in a mall store with eight full timers but we only need six. (We've got ten part-timers, but I need the benefits.)

I'm great with the hair, just getting used to the chair. What do you dislike the most about going to the hair stylist?
Hm. Don't drink and cut. I've had a bad experience with my mom's friend doing that to my hair. Although I highly doubt you would have ever done that. Haha.

But I don't like it when they try to talk me out of an idea I have for my hair because they don't think I realize when I'm making a drastic change.

Also be careful not to get hair down their shirt, that is really no fun at all.

And if you aren't sure if you can give them a certain cut or color, warn them that you are not sure, becuase it will be much worse if you try and fail without at least warning them that you aren't sure if you can make it turn out. What do you dislike the most about going to the hair stylist?
I hate it when they don't do what they're supposed to do, but still charge high prices!

Like when I had my hair straightened, and my hair being very curly it didn't come out right - it came out sort of wavy and weird? And the hair dresser was like - oh with your hair thats the best anyone can do - But then after a few months I went to a different hair dresser who did it right.

So I would appreciate it if they tell me if they can't do something before they actually attempt to do it - without making lame excuses in the end.

Also, sometimes when I tell a hairdresser that I need to get my regrowth ironed they iron the whole hair and charge a lot? (I have waist length) When all I really wanted was to make my curly regrowth appear straight?

I do know a few really great hairdressers though! People who really I respect and don't give their occupation a bad name. Hope you become one of them! Best of luck!
Because of that one experience I had 4 years ago at a hair salon, I am not going back. I don't go to any hair dresser. I paid @250 for a perm. It damaged my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!and I did not even ask for a haircut. First, she told that she was going to trim my ends. Well, it was more than just trimming. My back was facing the mirror so I couldn't see. That lady cut my hair really short. It took me 3 years for my hair to get back the way it was.

Basically, what I dislike is that some hairdressers never give you what you want.
well i hate when a customer brings a photo of how they want their hair,

and including the bangs like that..and then the hairdressers give them sidebangs insteadof forhead just because it would look better,

or if you ask them to just dye your hair brown, for example. and then they say il even put highlights and then the customer says no,thank you though. i just want brown hair. then the hairdressers say OH I KNOW WHAT IM DOING. ITL LOOK BETTER.

its annoying ;P
I don't like when they ask you so many questions that it's practically an interrogation. Like if they ask me questions about what I'm doing this weekend and I'm not doing anything, I feel like a loser, haha.
i don't like it when they don't give you what u want!!! that happened for my graduation for 6th grade. my hairdresser did not give me what i wanted so i ended up putting my hair up.
When they tug your hair too hard while they brush or dry it. I always feel bad saying anything though.
