How do I tip my hair stylist?

I'm kind of shy and awkward, so don't really know how to tip my hair stylist properly.


Should I hand her the money right after she finished cutting my hair or should I put it in an envelope and give it to her? Or should I give it to the person at the front desk?How do I tip my hair stylist?

You can hand her the money after you pay or right after she finishes. Either way, just make sure you hand it to her and nobody else. No need to use an envelope at all. If everybody used an envelope, she will have more envelopes than tips! lol.
Oh, those awkward situations are the best. Honestly what do you have to look forward to in life other than awkward stuff like that. You should think of ways it could be more awkward. Do you want your life to be interesting or boring?

What's so awkward about that? If I like the way my hair is cut I hand them a 20% tip, say ';thanks'; and walk away.
you should tip around 10 or 15 %. I always like to give it to the-stylist so that she receives it
