What do you ask a hair stylist for if you want emo/scene hair?

My hair is the typical asian hair: dark brown and pretty long.


I would like emo/scene hair but I have no idea what to ask the hair stylist.What do you ask a hair stylist for if you want emo/scene hair?
Take a photo with you to the salon, and be specific when you tell them how you want it. Tell them you want a lot of choppy layers. Short layers on the top and long layers at the bottom. Angled side swept bangs.What do you ask a hair stylist for if you want emo/scene hair?
Ask her (or him) for a lot of layers, and maybe take a picture of what you want. I've been in that situation, so I tried to coach them trough it, and they didn't listen, haha. But a picture helps a lot..

Usually, you can just bring in a picture of what you want, and they can do it. :) That's what I did!!
