What should I tell my hair stylist if I want to have lighter hair while still persrving some natural color?

I recently had my hair highlighed and I was not happy with the results. There was not nearly enough color put in my hair so the results looked terrible. What should I tell my stylist to avoid this problem again? What should I tell my hair stylist if I want to have lighter hair while still persrving some natural color?
if you aren't happy, you should return to your stylist immediately to relay why you are not satisfied so he/she can repair it to your liking....do not wait until Next time! What should I tell my hair stylist if I want to have lighter hair while still persrving some natural color?
I agree with the first answerer... immediately return the the salon and tell your stylist you're not happy. Their normal policy is they will fix it free, they want to keep you as a customer and your word of mouth recomendation is important to them. Be sure that when you do go back, bring a snapshot or picture out of a magazine with you of what you really want!

tell her/him exactly that! Then he/she will no to preserve enough color. You don't have to sound professiniol just say that! Tell them what you want and need or they will never know! tell them you didn't like the way the did it last time. People don't get offended, they like it bescause then they have something to work on!
